Lithakazi Mkombe

Multidisciplinary Artist and qualified Architectural Technologist. Systematic Theology student whose passion is Creationism, Architecture, Justice, Culture and Art - co-creating & co-existing.Currently, she works at 1 Old Note (Pty) Ltd as a multidisciplinary artist and CEO, exploring poetic and visual inquiry - turning research data and text into poetry. She has received training with the Human Sciences Research Council in Poetic Inquiry and has been part of many workshops that focus on using different methodologies both historical and contemporary in creating art. Her passion for social entrepreneurship led to her women development work where she helps with providing economic freedom to women because she believes a woman who is economically free is a woman with a voice. She also administrates Mhayise Productions' Outreach Program - The 5 OGs that comprises of five artistic groups namely, Amazwi, Theatre Lab, Movement Laboratory, Dancexercise and Rubbish Orchestra.She values sustainability, co-creating in the world in a way that gives back to the children who have not yet set foot on it by ensuring that they too meet a world that has not been depleted by a high carbon footprint - a world that glorifies God. She is futuristic and sustainable; inspired by Bio-mimicry - she stands out to blend in, perfectly. Her only aim is to leave everyone she comes across with answers, new questions to explore or at least a simple change for the better; shaping minds and hearts through art, structures and words. Ultimately, to improve the lives of women and children in Africa.
