Liz Patterson

Over the past six years working in the busy Shows Department at the RHS, I have gained considerable knowledge and understanding of the necessary processes for running a high-profile prestigious event of an RHS Flower Show. Ranging from managing projects, cultivating new talent, working-up new competitions, building relationships with local communities, dealing with large budgets, through to invoicing, database usage, corresponding with exhibitors, answering queries, liaising with other departments and assisting with show guides through provision of editorial content. Coming from a background in Stage Management and Garden Design and having run my own design and build business for several years, I pride myself on my excellent written and verbal communication skills and for being highly motivated and organised. My work experiences have given me a firm grounding in both the practical side and working knowledge of running a large scale event through to the creative conception. Thus in turn affording me a thorough understanding and knowledge of the horticulture industry. Looking for exciting new opportunities in events and project management
