20+ years of experience in evaluating SATCOM products, support RF testing, troubleshooting activities, regulatory compliance and homologation and review engineering designs working in baseband to microwave frequency range. Supporting homologation and certification activities including VSAT level RF testing to obtain certification/compliance for iDirect products and third party RF subsystems. Solid hands-on test experience in Satellite RF Subsystems and antenna performance up to 30GHz (C, Ku and Ka Bands) Strong knowledge of overall system architecture including modem performance, microwave transceivers, block up-converters (BUCs) and low noise block down-converters (LNBs) Strong working knowledge of antenna theory including directivity, OMT/Polarizer insertion losses and isolations, radiation patterns, co-pol and cross polarization limitation and antenna gains in Ku and Ka band antennas. Support VSAT ODU development activities and review design requirements up to Ka band frequency including RF radiation pattern, fine tuning of Ku and Ka band antennas that ranging from 74cm, 98cm and 120cm and qualification/certification testing at third party compact antenna test ranges. Strong experience using RF hardware equipment for evaluation Ka transceiver design Evaluate schematics, PCB layouts, components selection & placement and provide feedback and recommendation to the hardware design team. Project management, cost estimation, budgeting, tracking and reporting complex projects & maintains records in the product compliance arena. Closely work with OEM products and their team in compliance assessment and risk management for final system level compliance. With the help of international sales team established regulatory agency framework in European Union (CE), FCC, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Ghana, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ukraine and Russia for product approvals. Worked with number of leading safety labs in the US for ITE safety testing and certification and VSAT SATCOM system level C, Ku and Ka band type approvals with CTC/CETECOM Saarbruken, Germany.
