Loren Hoffman

Lithography and Process Integration engineer with experience in high volume semiconductor manufacturing and process development. Responsibilities include driving process changes for yield, performance, and cost improvement; designing and analyzing experiments to meet desired targets; monitoring process health using statistical process control methods; and applying data mining and metrology skills to solve yield problems. Before entering the semiconductor industry, Loren studied computational astrophysics; her research focused on numerical simulations of galaxy formation, stellar and globular cluster dynamics, and gravitational radiation signatures of supermassive binary and triple black hole systems. In her work in industry, she maintains a passion for mathematical problem solving, developing and applying numerical algorithms, and teaching and learning basic ideas with her colleagues.
