Loretta Atkinson

A highly competent healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience and achievements in sales and marketing management, business development, innovation and company leadership. I started my pharmaceutical sales career in South Africa in a leading generics company as a sales representative and worked my way into a brand manager position. Using this experience and my education in psychology I moved into key accounts management, sales management and managed healthcare positions within the generic and nutraceutical environment. After completing my MBA in Corporate Strategy and Business Administration I was able to transition into a business development role based in Kuwait for the Middle East and North Africa working in a diverse portfolio of multinational products, retail pharmacy, skin care and nutraceuticals. Utilising my experience from the internal operational development aspect of my role I relocated to South Africa as the customer excellence manager for a global biological organisation leading the affiliate in innovation and transformation. In 2014 I started NeutraPharm in South Africa, having direct involvement in the formulation, regulatory compliance, manufacture, logistics, sales, marketing and launch of a unique product into the pharmacy retail channel.
