Having been licensed since 1990, I have learned a few things about the practice of law. Professionalism and civility are at the top of my list of priorities. One of my primary areas of expertise is parenting time and legal custody. I also have expertise in handling complex financial estates and am painstakingly careful to insure that all financial issues are thoroughly and competently addressed. I have handled hundreds of family matters in my practice and am experienced in separation and divorce, prenuptial agreements, and other important family law matters. My clients tell me they appreciate my positive attitude, empathy, reassuring demeanor and sense of humor as well as my competent and practical legal advice and conscientious dedication and initiative. A trained mediator and collaborative lawyer, I make every effort to resolve all issues out of court whenever possible, but I am also fully capable of using the Court when necessary. I believe that litigation is damaging to families and try to problem solve instead of letting a Judge decide my client's fate. A graduate with honors from the University of Michigan’s Honors Program and Wayne State University Law School, I actively volunteer at the State Bar of Michigan, the local bar, my church and the Ann Arbor Public Schools.
