Lorne Sykora

Lorne began his career at Fireproof in 1997 as the IT Manager. Lorne is responsible for all Information Technology initiatives which include infrastructure, security, information governance, risk management, compliance and is a key player in ensuring preparedness for the company’s SOC 2 certification. As a leading team member of Fireproof's SOC 2 audit and attestation, Lorne has initiated and implemented rigorous policies and controls in all company areas including operational safeguards from network and physical access perspectives, administrative safeguards, backups, disaster recovery and business continuity planning. In addition, Lorne plays a key role in vetting and maintaining essential technologies that help hardcopy operations, warehouse management, customer relationship management, document imaging, and litigation support divisions run efficiently. He provides analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of all IT based solutions. Lorne is also instrumental in bringing the same technology and IT services to Fireproof's partner and subsidiary companies. Recently, Lorne started a subsidiary company under Fireproof called ITSecureNow to help other companies with their information security needs. ITSecureNow’s team is bringing security consulting services and managed IT services to businesses of all types and sizes as their trusted advisor. Lorne serves as Director and virtual CIO for this division and its customers. Lorne loves camping and sports with his family. He also enjoys cycling, riding over 3000 miles a year and participating in Pelotonia, one of Columbus’ largest fundraising events.
