Lucas Detor

I am a managing principal and member of the Investment Committee for AB CarVal, responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy and management. I also lead the firm’s transportation investments and oversee capital formation, emerging markets, CLO, and real estate investments. AB CarVal is an established global alternative investment manager focused on distressed and credit-intensive assets and market inefficiencies. In 2022, Alliance Bernstein acquired AB CarVal (formerly CarVal Investors) to expand its private market platform. I joined AB CarVal from Morgan Stanley, where I served as managing director and co-head of the global distressed and U.S. Leveraged loan business. In my early career, I served the U.S. Government as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, as well as serving in the U.S. Army Reserves and New York National Guard.
