About
In the course of my career I have worked in a scientific research environment for 23 years. Prior to my return to Australia I spent 13 years with a pharmaceutical company in Paris (Rhône-Poulenc, now Sanofi). Upon my return to Australia in July 2004, I was initially employed as a Sessional Tutor/Demonstrator in the Department of Microbiology, Monash University, Clayton. In January 2007 I was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer. I was also employed as a Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at La Trobe University, Bundoora. I made the transition from research to sales in 2008 when I joined Invitrogen as part of the Victorian team looking after the reagent portfolio. My territory included Monash University and related campuses, The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Monash Institute of Medical Research and Prince Henry’s Institute, amongst others. I was involved in initiating “hands on” workshops and training sessions at various institutes and thrived on finding new and fun ways of delivering the message of the product portfolio to the customers. In October 2014, I transitioned into a new role as Leader of the Human Identification (HID) portfolio for Australasia. My role encompases strategic planning, sales lead and managemnent of the HID Field Application Specialists for the Australasian Forensic and Paternity community and look forward to expanding my knowledge and expertise in the future as part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. I have a strong working relationship with all the sales representatives and across members of other teams, have had input in a number of projects and been involved in mentoring of new sales representatives. In my current role as Leader HID Australasia, I interact with team members at both the local and global level. My roles in sales, research and teaching have allowed me to establish a wide scientific network within Melbourne, across Australia and internationally.
