Lucy Komichak

I was promoted on Aug. 12, 2014 to Gifted Coordinator K-8 of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. My job is to identify gifted students and provide them with the appropriate service in the school system. I also help to advance students that apply for Early Entrance to kindergarten. I also accelerate students that are advanced at their grade level or subject area. My past profile: I retired on July 1, 2013 as a Math and Science Teacher. I was rehired on Sept. 1, 2013 as a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist. I worked at Paul L. Dunbar Enrichment Model School. I was brought on board to bring enrichment to this newly rebuilt school and to offer professional development to the teachers in the area of gifted education.
