Luigi Cucinotta

I’m an electronic engineer with a second level degree and engineering license. Currently I’m Asset E&I Engineer at Saipem and I'm giving technical support to the Saipem Engineering and Construction fleet on automation systems, dynamic positioning, electrical distribution and pipe lay equipment. Since 2012 I’ve been involved in different upgrade projects for our fleet starting from the engineering phase until the commissioning and sea trials. The upgrades range from automation (of thruster control, Dynamic Positioning, Pipe Lay Equipment) to the electrical distribution system (switchboards). Purpose of upgrading is to make the vessel more competitive on the market by installation of more advanced technology and equipment following the latest DP Class 2 and Class 3 Rules from the Classification Societies. I got considerable experience working with the most advanced offshore equipment Suppliers and within international project teams. I have built up a good technical leadership and problem solving skills. I am capable of initiative and with a sense of team work. Travelling often I have learnt a lot from other cultures and I significantly enriched my personal experience.
