PhD in Surgery by the University CEU San Pablo of Madrid (2017), MD in Medicine and Surgery (1983-1989) and Diploma Advanced Studies by the University Complutense of Madrid (2009). Master in Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine by the Complutense University of Madrid (2014). Specialist in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at the Bellvitge University Hospital in Barcelona (Residency and Fellowship 1992-1996 ). After working at the Igualada Hospital as Head of Vascular Surgery Unit, at the Tarrasa Hospital and at the Vall D'Hebrón Hospital in Barcelona until 1999, he returned to Madrid to the Alcorcón Hospital Foundation. He is the third Spanish surgeon to obtain the certification and the FELLOW of the EUROPEAN BOARD OF VASCULAR SURGERY, 1999. He completed his training at the Bowman Gray Medical Center Vascular Surgery Service, Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC, USA (2000). He has been Head of the Vascular Surgery Services at the ICE Hospital-Sanitas Madrid, H. SUR- Capio Alcorcón and Toledo. Consultant at the Santa Elena Hospital, H. Nuestra Señora de América and Fremap Majadahoda and Clínica Recoletas de Alcalá. National Prize "Cardiva-Vascutek" in 1996 and 2010. Professor of Surgery at the University CEU-San Pablo School of Medicine since 2009. He is member of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery-SEACV, the European Society of Vascular Surgery-ESVS and reviewer of the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Annals of Vascular Surgery. Member of the Peripheral Interventions Strategic Advisory Board of Boston Scientific Corporation An expert in all fields of vascular surgery, he stands out in treatment of aortic pathology, popliteal aneurysms, carotid and distal trunk surgery. He's a pioneer in the endovascular treatment of occlusive and venous compressive pathologies. He's proctor in embolization for Terumo Europe and proctor in venous pathology for Boston Scientific, Bard and Cook medical.
