Luisa Mendes Brasil

From my experience working in the impact sector, I noticed how budget constraints and lack of strategy limit the potential of the organizations to create impact. I aspire to be a leader capable of mobilizing private capital for impact and guiding organizations in creating, measuring and amplifying their impact across various sectors and ultimately society-at-large. I graduated in Environmental Engineering, and have a background in social entrepreneurship, social and environmental impact management, diagnosis and management of water basins, circular economy and industrial ecology and I am in search for continuous learning and positive contributions to society through my work, contributing to the development of a more sustainable and just communities. I am also passionate about connecting socio-environmental initiatives and studying how our consumption choices as individuals and companies can interfere in a community's culture, environment and economy. Among these projects, I have been working for 4 years with female empowerment through dance classes and how to make aerial arts more accessible to women with disabilities. My six years of working in events and sales, as well as my international experience of two years in Egypt, Europe, and Latin America, have enabled me to sharpen my ability to interact with and relate to a diverse array of people as well as improve in skills such as pro-activity, working in teams, customer service, and time and goals management.
