It was Steve Jobs who said, “the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” I’ve loved Technology from a young age. It started for me at age 14 when I pulled apart computers to understand how they worked. I registered my own computer company at age 16, while still in high school and offered services in computer repairs, virus removal, sales of new components and pre-built PC's. After completing an Information Technology Certificate II and undertaking studies in Business, I formally entered the Computer and Technology industry with my first job at Altech Computers. It was there that I deepened my knowledge in technology products and solutions which ultimately enable efficient business systems, grow client base and offer great end-user experiences. Cisco products and solutions were the ones I was drawn to and which I studied and obtained certifications in to be able to confidently provide solution knowledge and training to internal staff, reseller partners and sales teams. My growth in technology and computers has been rapid and my focus and aim has always been to improve outcomes for businesses and the community. As a Senior Leader in IoT, I take the responsibility of developing teams seriously. For me that means supporting, mentoring and directing teams to collaborate effectively to achieve common goals. It also means setting goals and inspiring vision where everyone feels involved and no person is left behind. It’s about ensuring everyone develops to their full potential and truly believe in the company vision and project goals. Keys ways I’ve contributed in Technology, IoT and people development include: • Closing the largest Microsoft Hololens 2 Deal in Asia Pacific Market (value of $1.7M) with the Department of Defence. Success of this project resulted in Ingram Micro being named a finalist for the IoT Hub 2020 Manufacturing Awards • Developing a sub-distribution program which enabled Ingram Micro to achieve over 150% YoY growth within Cisco's Small business architecture • Training sales teams to have confident, high-level discussions around IoT technology to increase sales and build business partnerships • Enabling over 100 partners to become Cisco Certified throughout my career Learning and undertaking various hobbies is a way for me to unwind from my professional life and my current hobby is gardening. Motorsports, photography, 3d printing, gaming and crypto are other hobbies that have stuck over the years. I also find great joy in volunteering in my community and using my love of technology to contribute to social projects.
