My work ethic is drawn from the experiences that I have had, whether they are professional or personal. I have a strong passion for families and family companions, i.e. pets. I have a BA in English and a Master's in Public Affairs with an emphasis in Non-profit management. The majority of that non-profit emphasis focused on animal welfare. While I was pursuing my advanced degree, I had the opportunity to work for several different animal care hospitals and kennels in Western North Carolina. Upon graduation, I took a position with North Carolina's State Employees' Credit Union where I quickly moved up from a Financial Services Representative to a Financial Services Officer, where I processed and decisioned loans for our members. I am still with the Credit Union, but in a slightly different position. I am a Department Secretary for Operations. I hope to one day have enough knowledge and skill to work with animals again, but from an administrative position.
