I have a varied work experience which has given me a good base knowledge to use in many different environments.Having completed my education I have taken on a variety of roles and have worked to expand my knowledge in each company. At Tesco I was originally hired as part of the replenishment team but soon showed my desire to learn and transferred to Pricing and then to Cash Office. At Ecotricity I began in the Gas Industry Data Management team and expanded my knowledge and became a member of the Settlement Team. Alongside this I also trained to become a member of the Training Academy where I trained staff in topics such as Conversation Skills, Presentation Skills and Conflict Resolution.Whilst working as an Intermediate Senior Animal Care Assistant I’ve gained experience with leadership and working strongly as a team to ensure that all goals are completed and that an animal’s daily needs are met as well as making sure their journey with us is kept moving at a suitable pace. As a member of the Rehoming Team I’m also key to the communication between the centre and potential adopters. I have a relaxed, friendly approach to communication which allows me to build relationships with customers within a short timescale.I have strong organisational skills which were essential when working as an Industry Data Management Assistant where I was tasked with investigating and correcting discrepancies across a variety of databases. This role also gave me a lot of experience liaising with many different companies, employees and departments which needed recording accurately and chasing or updating when work was completed.My attention to detail has been needed in all roles but particularly when working as a Cash Office Assistant where accuracy is always key. This role was also a very isolated job as the only staff member in the cash office which meant I needed to maintain my own pace and motivate myself on a daily basis.I have a strong creative background with a degree in Contemporary Applied Arts and have always stayed involved with the craft world by making my own fabric items such as baby accessories and cat toys and selling them on my Etsy page, at local craft fairs and my work is stocked in a local shop in Berkeley. I think this experience combined with my strong administrative skills makes a great combination and am excited by the prospect of being able to incorporate both aspects of my professional life.
