Out of college I began working in marketing and sales. I enjoyed making connections, but it wasn't something I was passionate about. I have a passion for working in non-profits because I believe that it is easier to come to work every day if you believe in what you're doing. However, in the smaller non-profits I was in I noticed that there wasn't really anyone to go to with payroll/policy questions or if there was an issue in the workplace. This is how I found my calling for Human Resources and creating a positive culture for those that I work with. I have worked in the People & Culture department with WesleyLife for over 2 years now I love where I am at. Every day I; -Create a positive culture for all our team members through engagement actives and appreciation programs -Onboard between 100 & 150 team members annually and give them a positive start to their new journey -Make myself available for team members who have questions about policy, payroll, or any other HR system -Track payroll for all of our 140+ team members & process payroll every other week -Maintain proficiencies in UKG (UltiPro) -Support our People & Culture director and other leaders with team member issues
