Mairleth Isabel Wright, MPA

Isabel works as a Small Business Banker at Bank of America. Previously, she was a Small Business Consultant. She is responsible for acquiring new businesses and deepening relationships with business clients. She has succeeded at developing strong relationships and has been instrumental in connecting with the business community in which she works to leverage opportunities and expand relationships. She has exceeded sales targets while successfully managing a portfolio of high net worth clientele, working closely with business partners to provide best financial solutions. Lately, Isabel's primary focus has been on supporting business clients with deposit and lending needs as they navigated through their challenging time during the COVID-19 crisis. She manages a portfolio of Small Business clients with annual revenues between $500K -$$5M working closely with a lending team and business partners to support these clients financial growth. Isabel is a connector at heart and passionate about helping people and businesses to prosper. She has a strong personal and professional network within the Latin community in MA and has leveraged this network to build significant new relationships. Prior to joining the banking industry, she was involved with the nonprofit sector. She is a co-founder and former President of NEACOL, a non-profit organization that focus on improving living conditions of Colombian children. She launched the organization’s first gala, becoming thanks to her initiative, one of the largest and most successful fundraising event of the Latin community in the Boston area. Earlier in her career, Isabel was a project associate researcher at the Ford Foundation, under the umbrella of NYU Wagner's school, in which she analyzed the effectiveness of Ford’s PRI portfolio and exit estrategy in the microfinance field. She did her internship with the United Nations focusing on researching and mapping diverse international funding agencies for microfinance. At the United Nations, she was a member of the UN international Year of Microcredit. She started her professional career in the academic field as a Professor of Management and Financial Analysis and was an Academic Coordinator for the Business School at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Colombia. Isabel’s specialties include: program management, relationship building, sales, prospecting, leadership, fundraising, event planning, positive problem solving, team development, community outreach, public relations and strategic planning.
