Maksim Kurmaz

Before coming to EPAM, I worked in several companies as a team leader and a manager of different teams, including software developers, technical writers, and content editors. I was focused on leading the process of creating digital products for customers, internal users, and consumers, as well as establishing operational workflows and performing trainings. I've started my carrier as a university teacher and a writer for technical magazines, talking and writing a lot about computer hardware both from engineering and user perspectives. This wasn't an occasional hobby but a real passion, so I started my own online media but failed to find reliable business partners. After that, I joined a local media market leader and lead a team of digital content editors to create a high-class digital marketplace with tons of original content. Next step, and I'm a team lead of technical writers in a small industrial software company contracted by an international chemical manifacturer. As the company sought for project managers, I decided to try the role. So here I am, working hard with my teams on small-scale projects of creating innovative physical and software products. I'm responsible for project planning, resource and people management, progress tracking, reporting, customer satisfaction, and many other duties; occasionally I cover missing team roles (architect, BA, QA, security champ, techwriter, etc.). Support my team in whatever they need and lead it to the successful project resolution is the ultimate goal of my work.
