In a nutshell, I would describe myself as a growing data/software engineer, who is also interested in application of machine learning algorithms 🚀 At my former company (Convious), as a data engineer, I was involved in maintaining and improving data platform as well as investigating data problems and identifying patterns (Python 🐍, SQL, AWS). Before that, I was gone on parental leave with my adventurous son Kasparas 👶 and spent roughly 3 years at Dematic as a material handling simulation engineer, which, as a position, involved analyzing customer data, developing simulation models with AutoMod programming language, looking for ways to improve systems or solve their bottlenecks, preparing presentations and communicating quite a lot. In parallel with my previous job and before that, at Kaunas University of Technology, I studied big business data analysis (master's degree), in addition to applied mathematics and informatics (bachelor's degree). During my bachelor studies, I spent a semester in Dortmund 🇩🇪 with Erasmus+ programme and, last but not least, worked for around a year at a Lithuanian startup company (SneakyBox), where I helped to develop a customer's resource management system, using C#/.NET, HTML and CSS.
