The U.S. Gulf South - Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle - is an interesting place with people who are proud of where they live and what they do. Our communities are distinct. There is never a shortage of news or challenges for companies and organizations that look to grow here. I have built my career around providing insight into the citizens of the Gulf South. Who are they? What do they think? How do they make decisions about what issues and opportunities to support or oppose? During the course of the last 20-plus years, most of the significant news stories and events in this region have someone with the last name - Ehrhardt - involved in them. From major public events like Super Bowls, Wrestlemania and the National World War II Museum to high profile public relations, public affairs and media relations challenges, such as the Deepwater Horizon incident and the hurricanes and floods of 2005. Now we face the COVID-19 public health crisis and understanding the social change taking hold in communities everywhere. The most common question I hear is "what do we do next?" The answer to that question depends on the company, organization, situation and needed outcome.
