Marco Filetti

I am a researcher in computer science applied to human-computer interaction and psychophysiology. I have been developing novel applications in Swift that utilise psychophysiological data in order to gather more information about the users’ needs and intents. I obtained psychophysiological data using various network protocols (Bluetooth, zeroMQ, TCP packets); the apps needed to be designed in order to allow these data to be received free of noise and “interference” caused by interaction with the UI. I then analysed the obtained quantitative and qualitative data (e.g. Questionnaires) in Matlab to assess whether utilising these complex data provided any benefit. I also conducted theoretical experiments using psychophysics software (in Matlab and Python) to investigate various phenomena related to attention and cognition. My current aim is to bring my expertise to industry, as I believe I am well-suited to the creation of robust, modular and polished applications, which can be further improved by analysing user-generated quantitative and qualitative data.
