Marie Davies

Marie Davies is a Sales & Marketing wine professional recently (2022) achieving highest honours in the French Wine Scholar’s Guild program and qualified in WSET Level 2 and Level 3 (2018) both passed with distinction. Being the daughter of a sommelier, she has a natural enthusiasm for good wine and the entire wine making process. Having lived and studied in Toulouse, France, Marie spent many years in the Languedoc Roussillon, one of the most famous wine regions in the world. It is this experience that has given Marie a unique appreciation and love of wine and the production of fine wine. In addition to being a fluent French speaker, she has many practical business skills to transfer into the wine business. Following a successful London career in sales & marketing, Marie is highly focused on meeting customer needs and offers a proven track record in winning new business and delivering excellent results. Marie has worked across multiple industries including recruitment, media, digital, luxury cosmetics and fragrance. Using her fluency in the French business language Marie regularly travelled across Europe to meet and negotiate with clients within world class organisations such as L'OREAL, COTY Inc. And Nestlé. Equally, Marie has worked alongside smaller companies and start ups and was instrumental in the successful launch of the first women's website in the UK, handbag.com, jointly owned by Boots and the Telegraph Newspaper group. Outside of work Marie enjoys a busy family life in Brighton with her husband Paul and two young daughters Sophie and Lily.
