Mark Norton

A strong multidisciplinary FMCG R&D leader with passion for strategic consumer centric development. Holding extensive international experience across diverse categories, I am now seeking a new challenge in the UK, US or the EU (British citizen). My fields of experience include product and process development with whole-system thinking across coffee, biscuit, gum, candy and dairy. I lead and inspire my organization to act with bravery, judgement and pace, and empower them to deliver with rigor, control and competence. I build authentic relationships with cross functional partners to set and deliver strategic plans at both regional and global scale. I am guided by strong critical thinking and am full of courage to stand up and do the right thing for my projects and for my people. My influences span broadly across a range of scientific, technical and human subjects that consistently support my thought-leadership, impacting the outcome of business and organizational goals. I have passion for growth and development of my organization and the individuals within it, resulting in highly engaged and motivated R&D teams. I have demonstrated the ability to work beyond core development activities - extending my experiences into technical research and into commercialization of significant process equipment. I am particularly effective at the messy interface between complex technical problems and competing cross-functional needs. Most of all, I love daunting challenges full of ambiguity, risk and reward.
