Marta Ariño Barrera

Experienced business professional, with more than 25 years leading general management, including strategy and innovation solutions in order to optimize processes and P&L’s of mid to large size organizations. My extensive experience in process optimization analysis and industry knowledge make me an expert at the intersection of journalism, media and technology. I have been particularly focused on the integration “off with on” in my companies. Considering technology as a fundamental tool to generate new business opportunities, for me it is vital to evolve to a digital mindset, changing the aim to build a next generation media house for both, traditional print and digital readers. In all companies I was proud to rule, I established and enforced digital culture as a core value within their business evolution. Previously I held a series of executive positions at Grupo Zeta, where I was part of the creation of digital strategy and transformation (phase 1). My main achievements were building a profitable magazines unit, performing collaboration agreements with high end brands in the European market, launching business operations in the Italian and French markets and signing strategic agreements with RTVE and Mediaset in Spain. At RBA Coleccionables, I achieved three years industry leadership in a row thanks to business development at European markets and LATAM. I am actively involved in many different activities such as: - Associate Teacher in Publishing Master at Pompeu Fabra University - Associate Teacher in Marketing Master at La Salle University, - Investor in several start up projects - Mentoring in Management program for executives with Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and Bertelsmann Group.
