After all of these years, I can say that I wouldn't take a single year back, not even the ones that gave me the silver hair I rock today (Updating Pic)! The experience and wealth of knowledge I accumulated in those years (the Good, Bad, and Ugly) cemented the curiosity that continues to excite me every day about the packaging industry. When a client comes to us with a new project or a sustainability challenge my heart starts pumping, the excitement starts to percolate and it's off to the races. When you love what you do, it's easy to find solutions.My interest in Sustainability really started at a young age, at the "Rachel Carson Junior High School" in Queens. While I was only there for 2 years, she left a mark, one I didn't even know was there, until many years later when as an entrepreneur, I asked myself the "why" for starting my company. The "Why" came easy...I wanted to make a difference, facilitate responsible packaging, learn and teach others how we can change the packaging industry. As entrepreneurs, we sometimes lose our way, our purpose, our "WHY", especially if investors/partners are more interested in the bottom line than the mission of the company. Today, I can say, the distractions are gone, and the bottom line takes care of itself. We work with Global Clients, disrupting the market, and challenging the status quo. I start everyday, with a focus on the "Why", because the "Why", is what brings me joy...
