I empower nonprofit organizations to clarify their mission/vision/values, assess their current position in their service area, clarify their goals and aspirations, and develop plans based on best practices to improve their organizations in terms of mission effectiveness , fiduciary board effectiveness, board development strategy including recruitment and assessment, board/staff relationships, and governance strategy and process. I draw on my experience of more than 20 years of service to a broad range of nonprofit boards such as Babson College, YWCA Boston, New England Baptist Hospital and The May Institute. At the same time I have developed an extensive array of professional skills during my 30+ years in commercial banking with particular expertise in risk assessment and mitigation, financial analysis, relationship development, negotiation and consultative sales, segment development and branding, public relations, team building, and meeting facilitation. I am a collaborator, facilitator, connector, and mission-driven. I am known to be a strong relationship builder who partners with clients to optimize board and staff leadership talent while developing a plan to maximize mission impact. My education includes an MBA from Babson College and a BA from Connecticut College. In addition I have advanced training in leadership development and sales.
