About

I’m a sports journalist seeking full-time sports writing, television or radio employment. My career began in 2013 when I joined the radio production team at 97.1 the Ticket in Detroit after graduating from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. From there, I landed in LA as a production assistant with FOX Sports 1 on what was then a newly created show, Undisputed: Skip and Shannon. During my five years with the show, I have been promoted four times. Now, I oversee the video team for Undisputed, FS1’s most-watched studio show. In addition, I host multiple gambling podcasts a week for the Extra Points Podcast Network. I’ve had the privilege to cover countless stories through radio and television in my career. As a producer, I was in the press box when National Player of the Year Trey Burke lead the Wolverines run through March Madness, when the great Aretha Franklin sang the national anthem for the last time, during the Los Angeles stop of the Mayweather-McGregor World Tour, Kobe Bryant’s retirement ceremony, and many others. Driven by a desire to learn more about my craft, I returned to school in 2019 to earn my master’s degree in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California. This professional and educational background will undoubtedly prove useful in understanding the needs and perspectives of the reader. Sports are trivial games of which the results should have no real consequence in the grand scheme of the world. One look at society, however, and it is clear that they are undeniable drivers of American culture in conflict and conversation, disguised as a diversion from the real world. The best example — Jackie Robinson integrated baseball in 1947. The next year, the American armed forces integrated; public schools six years after that.
