Marty Van Delen

I completed 20 years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), 15 years of which I have been a Firefighter. My years with the CAF have helped me develop the ability to work in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team within a command structure and effectively manage stress. I was employed as a Platoon Chief, provided on-the-job training to crew members, and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training. In addition, I also have an extensive background as an Instructor of Firefighting, HAZMAT, Leadership and Ethics. My strong leadership, supervisory skills and work ethic gained during my career with the Military has deemed valuable to my crew and the overall operations within every department I have worked with.
