Masataka UO is the founder and CEO of Japan Fundraising Association, a nationwide network that promotes philanthropic giving and social impact investment in Japan, and the founder of Fundrex, a leading consulting company which provides strategic development, impact management, and system consulting for more than 150 nonprofits and social business.He is a hub of creating an ecosystem in Japan for social innovation and impact. He is leading to create impact investment market, impact measurement initiatives, philanthropic giving, fundraising, family philanthropy, legacy giving.He is an Ambassador of Global Steering Group for Impact Investment(GSG), and a Trustee of JANPIA( Japan Network for Public Interest Activitie), which is the impact wholesaler of dormant bank accounts. He is adjunct professor of Shizenkan Graduate School.Japan Fundraising Association is designated as country representative of AVPN (Asia Venture Philanthropy Network) since May 2023.He is one of the top leaders in Japan's fundraising/social investment sector with a track record of success in raising funds for social causes, cultural projects, and international development. Aside from serving at the Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, he also worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Further, he wrote and edit several books relate to impact, fundraising and giving, both in Japanese and English, such as, "GIVING JAPAN (Japanese & English)," " Fundraising towards social change(Japanese)," "Global Fundraising (Chapter 2 ,English), " " The roadmap towards social investment market( Japanese &English) ""Nonprofit Management Consultant Training Kit(Japanese),""Global Best Practices for CSO, NGO and Other Nonprofit Boards(English)"He is Certified Fundraising Executive(CFRE)He has family with 2 kids. living in Tokyo.
