In the last 10 years I have been managing all aspects of in-cab truck technology within one of New Zealand’s largest waste company. Part of the role involves investigating and testing new technology keeping ahead of the industry. We like to be an industry leader not a follower when it comes to technology, which puts us ahead of the competition. I strive to have a good relationship with my suppliers, keeping constant contact and always putting up the challenge for a new project and our requirements. I have a heavy involvement in Municipal tenders using GIS tools to assist with determining truck numbers and routing efficiency. Part of this also involves Project Managing the procurement, installation, driver training through to contract roll-out and on-going support for all in-cab technology (MDT – mobile data terminals), cameras etc Prior to EnviroWaste I was involved with setting up and managing ISO within a glass company. Part of this role involved creating training manuals for operation and H & S. I pride myself with taking on a challenge and encourage being meticulous in my work. I was very privileged to have worked for The Warehouse for over 10 years in many supervisory roles. The rigorous training structure has given me a good work ethic and commitment to my employer and roles.
