CIO in search of creative solutions with outcomes that make memorable student experiences, drive business needs, and help the university grow research. I promote the contributions of IT across campus and strategically link their activities to institutional goals - pushing the envelope on what IT can do to affect institutional success measures. I am always interested in development of individuals in IT and the accomplishments of colleagues throughout higher education. I am honored to lead as Associate Vice Chancellor of Innovation and CIO at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where a top R1 university also hosts one of the most diverse set of students, researchers and faculty anywhere. UIC's central IT team, Technology Solutions, is firmly fixed in our Innovation division - and that sure makes leading fun! I am active in Internet2 as a member of the NetPlus Program Advisory Group and the Northern Tier Network Consortium. I also serve on advisory groups for Microsoft, Cisco and Zoom, and am a regular contributor in the EDUCAUSE community. Link-up and let’s talk sometime.
