Matthew Gutierrez

Matt Gutierrez joined the Hilton Austin in December of 2013 as the General Manager of Liberty Tavern. Matt's professional career in the food and beverage industry spans more than a decade. Matt comes to Austin after spending two and a half years as Operations Manager at Chedders, one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the country. Matt was in charge of staffing one of the company's flagship locations near Ft. Hood, the largest military post in the country. Matt's location was Cheddar's largest volume producer in Texas. Matt also served as General Manager at Trinity Hall Irish Pub in Dallas, a position he held for five years. Aside form his daily managerial duties he was also personally responsible for all special events and parties. He identified and trained managers in key areas such as inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining vendor relations. A native of Lewisville, Texas, Matt attended North Central Texas College. When he's not socializing with customers or working on new and innovative ideas for Liberty Tavern, you'll likely find Matt enjoying Austin's live music scene.
