Matthew Keen

My passions include all sports, specifically rowing and water polo. During my studies I have been an active member of the Melbourne University Water Polo Club, where I current hold the leadership position of President. This role has presented many challenging situations and enabled me to develop a range of leadership skills including people management and event organisation. Similarly, my passion for rowing began during my time at school as an athlete. The team environment provided by rowing is second to none and working within a dedicated team driven to achieve a common goal is an environment that I thrive in. This passion developed into an opportunity for employment in the role of a Senior Rowing Coach at Brighton Grammar School for 6 years. My leadership skills were paramount in this role, particularly when providing feedback to my crew and leading by example to achieve success. Within the team of coaching staff, I have developed and implemented a cultural change to the rowing program, designed training programs and rolled out management efficiency processes for the boat club.
