I founded Pillar One Financial & Insurance Solutions because I saw an under-served sector of the population who needed help. The belief that one must accept high levels of market risk to sustain retirement savings has left many in fear of losing what took a lifetime to build. As a financial services professional, I founded the organization with the knowledge that better methods exist, and that the first pillar of a sound financial structure is protection. As a San Diego native, I have a unique understanding of the financial challenges that can be associated with living in one of the most beautiful and expensive places in the world. My wife and I have been together for 15 years and we have raised our two young children in San Diego. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy the lifestyle provided by living here, and we spend a lot of time together at the beach, hiking, and taking every advantage of our warm weather. However, we pay a premium for that lifestyle and I understand that you do too. As such, I have made it my life’s work to help people establish financial safeguards to protect the things in life that matter most. I possess dual Master’s Degrees and have taught professionally at the college level. As a former educator, I have a different approach than most financial professionals.
