Mehmet CILIZLAR

When I was a kid, I grew up in touch with nature, I fall asleep under starry nights. Growing and engaging with animals, plants, and their environments drew all my attention in order to observe and understand what the relations between them are. Questioning the elements of nature not only gives answers but also brings to mind new questions and new questions helped me explore my scientific passion through my education. Now, I am an MSc candidate, part of the Molecular Biology, Genetics & Biotechnology graduate program at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). I took lessons from the environmental engineering and geology faculties of ITU. Also, I am a member of the Astronomy student club of ITU. My education with a love of learning, practicing sustainable habits in my daily life, and questions about life and life in the universe shaped my future plans. I am very interested in research on the co-evolution of microalgae and the Earth. Additionally, I can participate in research on the evolution of RuBisCO protein because my former research topic is on protein-protein interaction under autophagy-induced breast cancer cells. In my further research, I want to provide suitable answers & solutions for ongoing climate changes and obtain pieces of information insightful for astrobiology research.
