Understanding how humans interact with the world is my passion. Since I can remember my ideal goal in life was to become a Anthropologist - specifically a Archaeologist like Indiana Jones. I dreamed of the day that I would be the leading resource for the world in our documented history and indulge in new discoveries on a regular basis. It seemed like an appropriate dream given my BA in Forensic Anthropology. After leaving Purdue Univ. I strongly considered pursuing a PhD in Anthropology. However, the world was moving forward and advancement in technology was catching my attention. And that's when it happened; the lightbulb for what I was most passion about - understanding humans and their relationship with technology. I wanted to be a Software Developer, but didn't know where to begin. Finding my way into the IT industry was going to be difficult with an unrelated background and degree, so I decided to knock on the door until I got my opportunity. Ultimately I landed a position as an IT Technical Recruiter which gave me the advantageous look I needed to strategically navigate my future goals. My goal was to assist IT professionals in anyway I could, expanding my network, creating lasting relationships, and ultimately learning what was needed to becoming a Full-Stack Software Engineer - my undeniable passion. —————————————————————My specialties include quickly learning new skillsets and programming languages, clear and concise communication of development ideas, problem solving, responsive design principles, website optimization, and the Model View View Model (MVVM) and Model View Controller (MVC) methods of organizing code. So far I have JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, jQuery, Bootstrap, Vue.js 3, GitHub, Express.js, MongoDB, and Node.js under my belt. I've started learning Parallax and AngularJS.
