Involved in 2 start ups J.Bildner & Sons (the Small Whole Foods of the 1980's) grew from three stores in Boston to 32 on East coast and Chicago Was responsible for total meat P&L. BJs Wholesale Club one of original 3 team members that started BJS Meat and Bakery from zero meat departments to 215 clubs. Involved in all facets of startup ,product selection, blueprint input for meat area design, equipment selection, labor management,time and motion studies, product yields, packaging,manual creation, Treiff cutting machine set up. Spent 16 years handling all meat and fresh seafood purchases as the sole purchasing employee 4. National Pork Council Retail Advisory Board,(current) 5. Part of team that created full bar code scanning of meat for inventory allowing full tracking of every box serial number in case of recalls, BJS 12.
