Applying my extensive experience as a Healthcare Supply Chain Professional to perform in first-time conditions is part of my contribution to successful leadership teams. I have learned that an inclusive approach encourages imagination & creativity and delivers meaningful solutions. Working within developed processes delivering tailored solutions has provided me with the expertise to secure confidence in my abilities within multiple organizations.Trust-based relationships have provided the foundation to streamline Supply Chain functions enabling cost reduction and process efficiency both as a direct employee, and in several consulting arrangements within which I have worked. Two core areas of my experience that have driven value are Supplier Evaluation and Conflict Resolution. Innovative negotiations framed around the reputation to deliver have been drivers for cost reduction projects including Drug Eluting Stents greater than $100 million in savings on behalf of GPO members while I was at Premier. Other projects that I lead where interest based techniques rather than a “test of wills” were used were Major Imaging Modalities, Voice Data, Surgical Energy, Custom Procedure Trays, Radiopharmaceuticals, & Orthopedic Implants, all delivering $10’s or $100’s of millions in aggregated member savings. I've had experience leading projects that created industry firsts including the build out of a GPO (non-hard hat) Construction portfolio inclusive of capital equipment, & supplies, & the creation of an “Energy” model. I maintain credibility with providers & suppliers after having the unique experience of working within GPO’s, IDN’s, Acute Care Hospitals including Religious, University, Community, and For-Profit, and for a major Commercial Payer all within the supply chain function at leadership or executive levels. I've successfully managed budgets of more than $70 million, & lead teams as large as 60 people. I find that mentoring & leading by positive example works best. Coaching teams to become highly capable drives mutual respect. As a person who works to harness diverse ideas & opinions across a range of competing constituencies, I find being nimble & flexible in my approach & style brings the best results.
