Michael Harvey CA(SA)

I qualified as a CA(SA) in April 2020 and I am currently working as the group reporting manager at Tyman PLC based in London UK. I worked as a finance manger at International Facilities Service (Pty) LTD for two years gaining invaluable experience as a financial accountant for 1 and a half years and then as a finance manager for half a year. During this time I managed a team of between 5 and 8 people, I was involved in month end reporting, exco specific reports, tax management, budgeting, balance sheet recons, bank recons, creditors management, business development to improve efficiencies and add value in the finance and whole business. Completed my 3 year articles at KPMG and finished in February 2020. I stayed at KPMG on a fixed term contract for a further two months from March to April, as a supervisor. During my articles I was exposed to various challenges and enjoyed working through the technical and soft skill challenges and learning from them. My 3 years at KPMG allowed me to gain invaluable experience through auditing various clients such as Unilever and HBZ bank as well as going on secondment to KPMG Adelaide for 3 months. I am passionate about tax and assisting people with tax planning and filing.
