Michael Koch

I’m currently an P&D Supervisor with 5 years of experience in logistics and trucking. I also have 5 years of prior customer service experience within a retail environment. I have worked with Estes Express since March of 2012. I entered the company as a forklift operator. I was promoted to dock supervisor within 4 months. At the 2 year mark I obtained the position of operations manager and then Assistant Terminal Manager. I then transferred to the Methuen terminal and have been with them for 2 years. Estes Level 2 Logistics opened this warehouse in March of 2012. My quick thinking and strong analytical skills were immediately seen as a benefit for the company and I progressed quickly through the ranks. I currently manage up to 25 employees at any given time. These employees include dock staff, billing clerks, and drivers. I have helped implement processes to introduce and maintain each new client that we have brought into our shipping lanes. As recently as March 2015, I have helped one of our newest accounts have their most profitable month in their history. Along with my extensive management history, I have also held positions within the retail and automotive world. Colleagues know me as a highly creative person who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach to complete things quickly and efficiently. I will go out of my way to ensure a job gets completed accurately and quickly, with the goals of the customer, always exceeded. I can work well alone, but also able to fit in with others. I have designed multiple spreadsheets and macros for use within our daily procedures. I earn the loyalty of my employees by making sure the work environment is a positive one. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty to make sure the client is completely satisfied. I am currently about 7 classes away from my bachelor’s degree within the computer science field. I am attending the University of Maryland University College within my spare time to complete this degree.
