Michael Thanos

I am a First Officer for United Airlines. Not only do I fly for the friendly skies, but I do whatever it takes to make my airline succeed. I am well versed in many facets of airline industry like safety, special assignments, maintenance protocols, and pilot recruiting. I utilize these experiences to help my company today! To get to this point, I studied Professional Flight at Purdue University. This is where I received most of my certifications, as well as a lot of my flight hours by instructing at Purdue. I also have a Masters in Aviation Management from Purdue. Overall, I am excited to be a part of the aviation industry. I look forward to being a part of it for many years to come and in many roles surrounding this industry.
