A seasoned litigator with significant experience representing and counseling management in a wide range of labor and employment issues. Regularly handles multi-party, class action, and single-plaintiff litigation arising under Title VII, Section 1981, the FLSA, and a variety of other statutory and common law theories. Extensive experience dealing with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Illinois Department of Labor, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and various other agencies. Routinely counsels clients on a variety of employment practices, including severance agreements, personnel policies and procedures, and employee hiring, discipline, and termination. Significant experience in commercial litigation, including breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, and shareholder disputes, as well as tort claims, fraud, and title issues. Spent several years representing large corporate clients in the consumer financial services sector in Illinois circuit and appellate courts and in federal court, and advising on various developments in the law, from federal and state regulations to local general administrative orders.
