I'm a Legal Counsel in the Transactions and Solutions EMEA team at Swiss Re. My primary focus is supporting Swiss Re's Longevity team on in-force and new transactions. I have significant experience working on pension risk transfer transactions, both in my current role and in private practice. My experience includes working on a number of longevity swap transactions intermediated through captive insurance structures both in Guernsey and Bermuda, conversions of longevity swap transactions into bulk annuity policies/reinsurance agreements, the negotiation of a policy to insure some of a pension scheme's investment risks in relation to deferred members to sit alongside a bulk annuity policy, and asset transition arrangements on one of the largest buy-outs in the market. In addition to the above, I advise on other L&H and P&C structured reinsurance transactions, including retrocession and capital markets transactions. In private practice, alongside advising on bulk annuities and longevity swaps, I advised UK pension schemes, PE firms and asset managers on investment management arrangements, ISDA and GMRA documentation, collateral arrangements and custody agreements.
