Miranda Simon

Miranda is a San Diego-based Government & Public Services Consultant at Deloitte working in the international development climate change and energy sector. She has experience with program management, strategic planning, financial analysis, and research and reporting on topics including fossil fuel reduction, decarbonization, and gender equity. She is currently supporting a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) engagement to support Vietnam in its transition to a clean, secure, and market-based energy sector by increasing the deployment of advanced energy systems, improving energy sector performance, and encouraging competition in the energy sector. Miranda is a solution-oriented problem solver, who uses her attention to detail, effective communication style, and strong work ethic to make decisions and operate effectively and with intention. These skills have resulted in her success with a range of clients, including, USAID, Department of Defense (DOD), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Prior to working at Deloitte, Miranda graduated from the George Washington University School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, a concentration in Business Economics & Public Policy, and a minor in Political Science. Her academic drive made her an exceedingly successful student, with a 3.98 GPA, placing her in the top 2% of the University and graduating with the highest GPA in the business school. While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Miranda worked for the Institute for Corporate Responsibility, conducting research on the supply chain sustainability of chocolate. Additionally, as a former Division I athlete on the Varsity Diving team, Miranda has excellent skills in time management and teamwork.
