Thorough, demonstrable knowledge in AutoCAD and Proficient in use of latest ArcGIS application Technical understanding of engineering standards and concepts and Excellent written and oral communication skills The primary duties of this position were: Developing maps and customizing ESRI geographic information systems Applying knowledge of subsurface utilities features/characteristics sufficient to complete GIS collection/entry An assisted designing team in creating plans from concept through final construction drawings. Produced GIS/CAD drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representation in the field of civil engineering, including but not limited to site plans, grading plans, geometry, utility plans, stormwater management, profiles, and pavement markings, and detail objects of such areas. Creating base drawings using survey field data and created surfaces to prepare drawings Followed the National CAD Standards (NCS) for the preparation of CAD drawings. Revised existing drawings and prepare new drawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches. Prepared detail and quantity calculations Verify accuracy of drawings. Worked closely with engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements. Work may also entail field investigations and inspections. Possessed a good attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
