About
I have always loved the themed entertainment industry and I have stopped at nothing to learn more about themed entertainment. As soon as I could drive I applied for a ride operator position at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. I enjoyed my experience as an operator and made many friends, however, I wanted a deeper understanding of how the rides worked. This prompted me to apply for a position in the Rides Maintenance department. I got the job and had a great time there in the summers of 2017 and 2018. I learned a lot about how a park functions behind the scenes in order to make guest experiences as safe and fun as possible. I am now attending the University of Cincinnati to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have had four co-op experiences so far at UC. In Spring 2019 for my first co-op, I went to China and served as a Teaching Assistant for over 100 Chinese students at Chongqing University. Next, for my second and third semesters of co-op, I worked at Invotec, a Bio-Medical manufacturing company. Here I learned a lot about SolidWorks and what it was like to work in a real engineering environment. Now, I am working as a Ride Maintenance Co-op for Kings Island. In this role, I am helping prepare a variety of rides for opening and I have written documents on ride maintenance procedures. Currently, I am working at LifeFormations as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op through April 2022. I am so excited to begin applying my Mechanical Engineering skills to the themed entertainment industry! I will be graduating in late April 2022, and I am currently seeking full-time employment as a Mechanical Engineer in the themed entertainment industry.
