About

Computational chemistry PhD with an interest in building teams and intelligent platforms capable of accelerating molecular design. Previously, I was a founding team member at insitro working with Daphne Koller on applying ML to problems in the drug discovery space. At insitro, I built and led platforms and teams working on microscopy, molecular design, and DNA encoded libraries. During my PhD in the Pande lab at Stanford I worked on multiple terabyte scale simulations of protein kinases using the Folding@home distributed computing platform. Besides running these simulations, I worked in method development where I leveraged ideas from both Statistical mechanics and machine learning to improve the interpretability and predictive power of our simulations. My papers involved leveraging ideas from Markov modeling, transfer learning, supervised ML, shallow to deep neural networks, time-lagged auto encoders, and linear/non-linear time-dependent dimensionality reduction techniques for more efficient inference of protein reorganizational free-energies.
