Mohammed Fadil

By academic training, I am a chemical engineer, master's degree from Cambridge University (2019) under a fully-funded scholarship given to only one Indian each year, and bachelor's degree from IIT (BHU) Varanasi (2018). My motto post-college has been “Spend 20s exploring, not settling” as I believe I should stop exploring only when I find my own founder market fit. I have very much stuck to it by trying my hands in multiple domains like industrial software development (Siemens Digital London), product management (Rakuten India), strategy consulting (Kline London), venture capital (CIIE India) and manufacturing (BPCL) through internships or full-time roles in my short career after graduation. This exploration process has led my ultimate life wish to co-found an impactful and highly scalable company of my own and to be more involved from the commercial side. Also, this has been fuelled by my voracious content consumption of books, newsletters, podcasts etc. Around startups and disruptive technologies since mid-2020. This consumption led to the creation of a personal website and Substack newsletter, whose links I have shared below. In preparation of fulfilling my dream, I wanted to involve first working closely in the scaling of an early-stage high-quality startup. This search led me to Atlan, which is on a mission of enabling data teams to do their lives’ best work by being an icon on the desktop of every data team in the world. I have joined the founder's office role in GTM team, solving for the scaling challenges and running new growth levers as Atlan enters the next stage of the blitzscaling journey.
