I am qualified to degree level with a BA in Education from Brunel University. I have relevant experience in various administrative roles. I have worked in a high school as an admin as well as a hospital. I have worked with a wide range of customers including parents of the students at the school as well as patients at the hospital. I have also worked with doctors and nurses at the hospital to ensure their patient records were up to date, as well ensuring that the patients were being priorities in the current circumstance of the global pandemic. I have experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive issues both in the school and and in the hospital. In the school I would have to deal with issues regarding the welfare of students for which I was provided with child protection training. As well as this in the hospital I would deal with confidential patient information which was handled with care and required rigorous security confirmations before being provided to anyone. As well as this i have sufficient knowledge of the majority of the microsoft packages such as word, powerpoint and excel. Writing emails to parents as well as staff allowed me to improve and work on my written and oral communication skills and to provide excellent customer service. Having to work in pressured environments where attention to detail has been vital for example providing doctors with up to date patient records with zero room for mistakes has allowed me to work on my organisation skills as well as improve my attention to detail all around. I have been required to work in pressured environments where lesson plans daily were required as a teacher. This allowed me to work towards deadlines better as well as improve my ways of working in pressurised environments. Being given the responsibility of patient records and maintaining the details of these without supervision has also increased the level of professionalism in my work as these highly confidential documents were looked after with great responsibility under my care. Having to work in a large office in both work places has allowed me to build on my team working skills and has helped me work towards improving my communication skills within my place of work. I have also been given the responsibility of drafting out letters to patients regarding their appointment changes allowing me to build on my confidence in terms of improving my written and communication skills. I have received many health and safety training as an employee at the hospital as well as data protection, fire safety etc.
